What we collect, why, and how to get rid of it. In plain English.

AutoTherm is a product of ETR, LLC ("we", "us"). Our website is etr-autotherm.com. If you have a question about this policy, or about the information we hold on you, email info@etr-autotherm.com.
711 Signal Mountain Rd Box 105 Chattanooga TN 37405.
When you join the early access list. We ask for your email address and whether you're a student, faculty, or working in industry. We use your email to tell you when the AutoTherm trial is available, and occasionally to send a walkthrough or a product update. We use the student/faculty/engineer answer to understand who the product is for, and to send you the version of the trial that fits you. That's all we use it for. We don't sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
When you email us. If you write to any of our addresses, we keep the message and your address so we can reply and follow up.
When you use the website. Our web host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps — as almost every web server does. These are used to keep the site running and secure. Google Search Console, Google Analytics.
Walkthrough videos on this site are hosted on YouTube and embedded using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not set tracking cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube may set cookies and collect data under Google's privacy policy. We don't receive any personal information from those views.
We use a small number of service providers to run the site and send email. They process information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Early access signups are kept until the trial launches and for a reasonable period afterwards, or until you ask us to remove you. Form submissions are also stored in our website database so we have a record if an email fails to deliver. Emails you send us are kept as part of our normal correspondence.
We delete early access signups that never converted after 24 months.
Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list. You can also, at any time, ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it — email info@etr-autotherm.com and we'll action it.
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights under laws such as the GDPR (Europe and the UK) or the CCPA (California). We honour those requests for everyone, wherever you are, rather than asking you to prove where you live.
AutoTherm is a professional and university-level engineering tool. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. If the change is significant and we hold your email address, we'll tell you.
If anything here is unclear, or you want to know exactly what we hold on you, email info@etr-autotherm.com. A person reads it.
